Ехокардіографія є потужним інструментом для оцінки структурних і функціональних змін серця у хворих на інфаркт міокарда. Цей метод дає важливу інформацію про тяжкість ушкодження міокарда і віддалений прогноз. Ехокардіографія також відіграє виняткову роль у виявленні життєво небезпечних ускладнень. Правильне застосування цього методу в щоденній практиці може привести до значного вдосконалення ведення пацієнтів, хворих на інфаркт міокарда.
